Nigeria @66: Emir Of Ilorin Advocates Unity In Diversity

The Emir of Ilorin,  Alh Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has called on Nigerians to uphold unity in diversity as the nation marks its 66th independence anniversary.

Sulu-Gambari noted that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diverse ethnic, religious and cultural heritage, which must be harnessed for national development.

The Emir’s message was signed by his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona.

Sulu- Gambari stressed that 66 years after independence, Nigeria has every reason to thank God for sustaining its corporate existence, despite daunting challenges.

He urged Nigerians to remain patriotic and committed to peaceful coexistence.

“Nigeria @ 66 is a significant milestone that calls for sober reflection, gratitude to Almighty Allah and renewed commitment to nation building. Our diversity should be seen as a source of strength, not division. We must continue to live together in peace, tolerance and mutual respect,” the Emir said.

He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for and support governments at all levels in their efforts to build a more prosperous and secured nation.

The monarch prayed for sustainable peace, economic growth and progress of Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
