Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have returned to Nottingham for their first official joint outing since moving back to the UK, receiving a warm welcome from residents on Thursday, October 15.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at the Community Recording Studio at about 10:35 a.m. local time, where a crowd of around 100 people gathered to greet them.
The couple shook hands with well-wishers and stopped to speak with schoolchildren, while Meghan received bouquets of flowers and a balloon.
“It’s great to be back,” the Duchess told one well-wisher during the visit.
In a nostalgic moment, a woman showed Meghan a photograph of the couple taken during their previous visit to Nottingham in December 2017. “That’s so special,” Meghan replied. The city holds particular significance for the couple, as it was where Meghan made her first official royal engagement alongside Harry, shortly after they announced their engagement in November 2017.
For Thursday’s appearance, Meghan wore an outfit featuring British designers, including a Joseph coat, turtleneck and earrings, paired with a skirt from The Fold London and shoes by Jennifer Chamandi.
