Rihanna shares the “Lift Me Up” visual.

Rihanna finally made her return to the music scene as she dropped her brand new single titled “Lift Me Up”. This is her first new solo music in six years and comes as part of the upcoming soundtrack for Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” film. Following the official audio the other day, Riri has unveiled a music video for the single, which is directed by Autumn Durald Arkapaw.

Burning in a hopeless dream / Hold me when you go to sleep / Keep me in the warmth of your love / When you depart, keep me safe / Safe and sound,” sings Rihanna.

The single is “a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman,” who starred in the first Black Panther film and passed away in 2020 at the age of 43

The song is co-written with Tems, producer Ludwig Göransson, and director Ryan Coogler. “After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them.” said Tems in a press release. “Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.”

Also with preparing for her Super Bowl performance, Rihanna is getting ready for her Savage X Fenty fashion show, which will involve performances by Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Toliver, and Maxwell. In addition to other well-known faces including Angela Aguilar, Avani Gregg, Bella Poarch, Cara Delevingne, and others, the event will premiere exclusively on Prime Video.
