Police are largely outnumbered outside the Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham
This is the harrowing moment far-right protesters broke into the Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham, which provides accommodation for refugees on behalf of the government.

Footage shows masked rioters smashing the glass windows on the bottom floor of the hotel with rocks, as one yells: ‘We are in.’

Police are struggling to contain the violence and are largely outnumbered by the swarm of protesters, which has now grown to at least a few hundred people.

Authorities across the UK are on alert after the last 24 hours of riots have been described as the ‘worst’ of violence following the Southport stabbings on Monday.
