The immediate past Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Bisi Egbeyemi is dead.

According to sources within the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Egbeyemi, who was the deputy to former Governor Kayode Fayemi between 2018 and 2022, died Friday evening at a private hospital in Ado Ekiti after a brief illness.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Abiodun Oyebanji, while fielding questions from journalists after voting on Saturday, said he could not comment on the death of the former deputy governor and APC leader since the family has not released an official statement yet.
