Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has opened up about how her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, influenced her decision to quit smoking cigarettes after they became parents.
Speaking on ‘The Morayo Show’, the actress described Ajeyemi as one of the best things that has happened to her, saying he has always allowed her to be herself while also encouraging positive changes in her life.
Abraham admitted that she previously smoked cigarettes and now only vapes occasionally. She explained that her husband’s attitude towards smoking changed when she became pregnant, as he made it clear that cigarettes had no place around their child.
She recalled that after their baby was born, Ajeyemi saw her smoking during an outing but chose not to confront her immediately. Instead, he later told her he would not tolerate seeing cigarette butts around their child and warned that doing so could put their marriage at risk.
The actress said the stern warning became a turning point in her life and ultimately pushed her to give up cigarettes.
“I used to smoke cigarettes. I still smoke a vape once in a while. But I stopped smoking cigarettes,” she said.
