Afrobeats singer Peruzzi has had a change of heart about the size of his future family, saying he now wants just two children instead of the 12 he once hoped to have.
The music star revisited a post he made six years ago expressing his desire to father a dozen children. Reacting to the old post on his X account, Peruzzi wrote in Pidgin English, “Omo, 2 children dey enough. Things don change.”
His comment quickly sparked reactions from fans, with many joking that Nigeria’s rising cost of living may have influenced his new position. Others humorously suggested that his earlier dream of having 12 children may have been inspired by his love for football.
Peruzzi did not explain what prompted the shift beyond saying that “things have changed,” leaving fans to speculate whether it reflects a change in his personal outlook or broader realities.
His remarks come as many Nigerians continue to grapple with economic hardship following reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which have driven up the cost of living and reduced purchasing power.
