Commends troops, urges citizens’ support for security agencies

ABUJA — All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Duerimini Kekemeke, has said the successful rescue of abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State demonstrates that President Bola Tinubu’s security strategy is producing positive results.
Kekemeke, who is the APC senatorial candidate for Ondo South in the 2027 election, stated this in Abuja on Saturday while reacting to the rescue operation.
He described the operation as evidence of the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting lives and property, as well as the professionalism and resilience of Nigeria’s security forces.
“The safe return of the pupils and their teachers has brought relief to their families, the people of Oyo State and Nigerians who stood with them in prayer,” he said.
The APC chieftain commended the officers and personnel involved in the operation, describing them as patriots whose courage and sacrifice contributed to the successful rescue of the victims.
He urged Nigerians to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information to enhance intelligence gathering and strengthen efforts to combat crime.
“Security is a collective responsibility. Government and citizens must work together to keep Nigeria safe,” he added.
Kekemeke congratulated the rescued pupils, their teachers and families, while expressing hope that ongoing efforts by the government and security agencies would contribute to a safer country.
