Globally respected preacher and women’s advocate, Funke Felix-Adejumo, has urged married men not to lose themselves in an attempt to satisfy their wives, saying it is impossible for any man to completely please a woman.
The founder of Agape Christian Ministries made the remarks during a sermon that gained widespread attention on social media on Sunday, where she encouraged husbands to love and care for their wives without placing themselves under unrealistic pressure to meet every expectation.
Addressing married men, Felix-Adejumo said women are naturally inclined to seek improvement and change, making it impossible for anyone to satisfy them completely.
“To all married men, don’t ever kill yourself trying to please a woman. I’m a woman speaking to you, and there is nobody who can please a woman to the fullest,” she said.
The cleric cited women’s beauty routines as an example of their constant desire for change, noting that despite believing they were created beautifully by God, many women still alter their appearance through cosmetics and beauty enhancements.
“The Almighty God gave us nails, we cut the nails and attach another one. God gave us eyebrows, we shave them off and put another one. God gave us hair, we remove it or do whatever and add to it. The Almighty God cannot please us; who are you to think you can?” she said.
Despite her remarks, Felix-Adejumo stressed that husbands should not stop expressing love and affection towards their wives. Instead, she advised men to avoid exhausting themselves emotionally or physically in pursuit of an unattainable ideal of perfection in marriage.
