The newly appointed Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), Rep. Abdulrazak Namdas, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s decision to retain Senator Kashim Shettima as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 election, describing it as a demonstration of confidence in competence, loyalty and performance.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Namdas congratulated Shettima on his renomination, saying the decision reflected the President’s commitment to continuity and effective governance.
He also commended President Tinubu for retaining a vice president who, according to him, had remained a dependable partner in steering the affairs of the country.
Namdas said the Tinubu-Shettima administration had provided purposeful leadership since assuming office in 2023 through the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He described Shettima as an active participant in governance, citing his contributions to economic reforms, private sector engagement, international representation and efforts to promote development in the North-East and across Nigeria.
“Mr President’s choice to retain Senator Shettima sends a clear message to Nigerians and the world that this administration values continuity, experience and teamwork,” Namdas said.
He added that the renomination showed that performance would be recognised and that nation-building required steady leadership.
Namdas also congratulated the APC for presenting what he described as a strong presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general election, expressing confidence that the Tinubu-Shettima ticket would secure victory.
He said the administration’s focus on economic repositioning, security and opportunities for young Nigerians would strengthen public confidence in the ruling party.
“The road ahead will demand more sacrifice, more unity and more belief in the Nigeria project. But with this ticket, I am confident that the APC will not only retain power in 2027 but will do so with an even stronger mandate,” he said.
Namdas further congratulated Shettima, President Tinubu and the APC family, saying the party remained committed to delivering on its promises to Nigerians.
