18 first-term governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently holding a closed-door meeting at the Kebbi State Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
The meeting, hosted by Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, brought together first-term APC governors from across the country to deliberate on issues affecting the ruling party and national governance.
As of the time of filing this report, the meeting was still ongoing, with journalists gathered at the Government House awaiting an official briefing on the outcome of the deliberations.
Governors in attendance include those from Sokoto, Kaduna, Jigawa, Plateau, Delta, Ekiti, Taraba, Ondo, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Benue, Kogi and Enugu states, alongside other APC-controlled states represented at the meeting.
However, the governors of Cross River, Niger and Katsina states were absent after reportedly sending their apologies.
