Brother Naija ‘Show Ya Sef’ housemate, Victor Ikpe, popularly known as Keivo, has been disqualified from the reality television show following a physical altercation with fellow housemate, Tram.
Biggie announced Keivo’s disqualification on Tuesday after summoning the remaining housemates to the lounge and showing them clips of the incident, which he described as “disturbing.”
Following the footage, Big Brother announced that Keivo had been removed from the house, with his last appearance being his entry into the storeroom.
According to Biggie, Keivo was identified as the perpetrator of the altercation and was consequently disqualified from the competition.
“Keivo, as the perpetrator, has been removed from the house. He is therefore disqualified from the house,” Big Brother announced.
Biggie also cautioned the remaining housemates against engaging in physical violence during the competition.
“Violence is never an option,” he said.
The announcement came after Keivo’s name was removed from the official voting platform earlier on Tuesday, prompting speculation among viewers about his status in the competition.
A live check of the official voting platform showed that Keivo was no longer listed among the housemates eligible to receive votes.
The development followed a confrontation between Keivo and Tram on Monday during the final week of the reality show.
LEADERSHIP reports that the dispute began after Tram accused Keivo of taking his black shirt. Keivo denied the allegation, explaining that he owned a similar shirt and expressing frustration over being accused of stealing.
The disagreement subsequently escalated into a physical confrontation, with Keivo throwing the first punch before other housemates intervened to separate the pair.
Biggie later instructed the housemates to freeze before deploying three ninjas to escort Keivo out of the house through the storeroom.
Before his removal, Keivo became emotional while explaining the circumstances surrounding the confrontation. He insisted that the dispute went beyond the shirt and was primarily about being accused of taking something that did not belong to him.
He maintained that he did not want to leave the show with viewers believing he was a thief and later told Big Brother that he did not want the incident to define his reputation.
Keivo’s disqualification comes just days before the conclusion of the ‘Show Ya Sef’ season, with the grand finale scheduled for October 4.
The eventual winner of the competition is expected to take home a N160 million grand prize.
