The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally presented a Certificate of Return to Professor Isa Ali Pantami as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Gombe State.
The certificate was presented on Wednesday during the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and inauguration of the party’s 2026–2030 NEC members at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting, presided over by the factional PDP National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, brought together party leaders and stakeholders from across the country to deliberate on key party affairs ahead of the 2027 general election.
As part of the proceedings, the party presented Certificates of Return to other governorship candidates whose nominations have been recognised and published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), officially affirming them as the PDP’s flag bearers in their respective states.
Professor Pantami, the immediate-past Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, was among the candidates recognised at the event, receiving his Certificate of Return as the PDP’s governorship candidate for Gombe State.
