Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fulfilled the promises it made to Nigerians and the people of Gombe State, urging party members to take the administration’s achievements to every community as campaigns for the 2027 general elections.
The governor made the declaration on Tuesday during the presentation of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to the APC candidates for the 24 State House of Assembly seats in Gombe State.
He also presented INEC acknowledgement slips to the party’s senatorial and House of Representatives candidates who had earlier submitted their nomination forms in line with the electoral guidelines.
Addressing party faithful at the Government House Banquet Hall in Gombe, Yahaya said the APC had earned the confidence of the electorate through its performance at both the federal and state levels. “APC can confidently beat its chest anywhere because we have fulfilled our campaign promises. Our performance speaks for itself, and it is now our collective responsibility to translate these achievements into electoral success in 2027,” the governor said.
Yahaya urged party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and campaign on the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and his administration’s development strides across Gombe State.
According to him, the successful conclusion of the party’s primary elections and nomination process signals the beginning of a new phase aimed at securing victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
He called on party faithful to remain united and work towards the election of President Tinubu, the APC governorship candidate in Gombe, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, as well as the party’s National and State Assembly candidates.
“We now have our governorship candidate in Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, alongside our candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly. The task before us is to remain united and work tirelessly to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates from top to bottom,” he stated.
Earlier, the APC State Chairman, Mohammed Dantata Ndus, applauded Governor Yahaya for what he described as purposeful leadership that culminated in the successful conduct of the party’s primary elections, urging members to close ranks and remain focused on securing a sweeping victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the National Assembly candidates, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives and APC candidate for Akko Federal Constituency, Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, commended Yahaya’s leadership, saying it enabled the party to successfully navigate the primary election process.
He expressed confidence that the APC would record another landslide victory in the 2027 polls. “We must continue to work collectively under the leadership of His Excellency as one united family, just as we have always done, to ensure the APC records another resounding victory come 2027,” Kumo said.
